Endure to the End

This past Sunday afternoon, I took a short nap. As I was waking up, I felt a deep grievous pain in my spirit. At first, I did not know what it was, nor could I explain it. But then the Lord revealed to me what this pain was. He was allowing me to experience a small portion of the pain Holy Spirit feels because so many Christians are growing cold and turning away from the Lord. Many are mocking and sneering and using the “F” word against God Almighty and Jesus His Son and Holy Spirit is deeply grieved. I could feel the immense pain; agonizing grief; excruciating, tormenting pain, sadness, and weeping.
And so I asked the Lord-‘why me’? Why reveal this to me? And He responded because you will feel it, and you will repent on behalf of a sinful, rebellious, cold, uncaring people. Holy Spirit is touched with the feelings of the Heavenly Father. He feels the anguish and he is inconsolable.
Matthew 24:12  says that “the love of many shall wax cold”. That’s a fact and a prophetic word being fulfilled right now. Many are not just cooling off spiritually; they’ve become ice cold, stunted and deceived. No wonder Holy Spirit is grieved. But Matthew 24:13 says “but he that shall endure to the end, the same shall be saved”.
There is a word in that verse; it’s “endure“. Endure means to remain firm and committed under suffering or misfortune without yielding to outside pressure. Endure in the Bible means to withstand hardship, adversity and persecution while remaining faithful and holding strong in the face of trials. It is not being passive, but actively pursuing Christ and a Christ centered commitment to remain undeterred in the face of pressure, opposition, sin or suffering.
James 1:12” blessed is the man that endures temptation, for when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love him”.
Don’t quit, don’t faint, don’t lose heart. Fight the good fight of faith and receive the crown of life, which the Lord has for you. God bless you.
